About the Client
McGowan Hayes Property was set up in August 2021 by Callum McGowan Hayes to undertake new build and renovation projects of high specification and quality. Callum has a proven track record of successfully delivering listed buildings, barn conversions, refurbishments and new build sites throughout Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
Callum came to us originally for a logo and some business cards, but he was so impressed with our quality of work, that he decided to get a whole website built by us. We managed to complete the site to the high standard we hold and within a short timeframe, produced an amazing website to match his professional new brand.
Branding
Callum wanted a logo that was clean, minimal and effective in its use. He wanted his initials, MHP, to be the main element of the design.
Being heavily influenced by buildings and architecture, we started designing, by taking influence on how buildings need multiple parts be able to function correctly, and translated this in to the letters MHP.
The colour red was needed to be featured, so we used the thin font to accentuate this.
The final logo features the letters using the stems of each other to make the next, so it all flows and relies on each other, with a good use of negative space.
Printing
Following the completion of a great logo, the next step was to create some business cards that would be an extension of the brand.
We decided to place the logo on a grey background for the front of the card, and offset the red colour with a muted grey tone for the contact details, to accentuate the minimal look.
The cards were printed on 350gsm silk artboard and finished with a matt laminate.
Website
The client was so impressed with our high quality work and exceptional service, that they decided to get a full website built by us.
The branding took a heavy influence on the site aesthetic, relying on the minimalistic look throughout. With that in mind, they wanted the website to be clean and simple, with a good use of whitespace.
They also wanted navigation throughout the site to be simplistic, so that users didn’t get lost down a rabbit hole, and could easily find the information they are looking for.
The website was created with the purpose of attracting new customers, with the end goal of receiving customer enquiries for new potential projects moving forwards.
