Face masks required in UK shops

As of the 24th July, it will be mandatory for anyone visiting a shop in the UK to wear a face mask.

With this new regulation in place, if you fail to wear a face mask and oblige with the new laws you could be fined up to £100.

The aim of the new regulation is to help people feel more safe and confident when shopping in public and to also ensure that shop workers are being protected from the spread of COVID-19.

This movement is already in effect in countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany and even Scotland, but England is the latest country to join the list of European countries.

Since the outbreak began, people have been advised to wear face coverings to stop the spread and to keep friends and family members safe. The only places that masks have been compulsory up to this point are when using public transport and when in NHS facilities since the 15th of June. But, as mentioned above, the law is now changing.

You can pick up disposable face masks at your local pharmacy or online but if you are looking for something more bespoke, Dexterous Designs is here to help.
