A picture paints a thousand words…
We know that to be true for visuals; who wants to read pages and pages of text on a website or publication, if a lot of the content can be broken up or even replaced, by illustrations or graphics – a much more pleasant (and quicker) way to get your message across.
Now we know this, can we replace a thousand pictures with a beautifully well-thought out video or infographic? Yes we can, well… maybe not one thousand – but in the same regard, a nice attractive video can get a short-sharp message across visually, and with a nice audio jingle too. Typically only 5-15 seconds long but very appealing!
The logo reveal here for one of our Gardening clients is a perfect example; this gets across his many services in what could have been a reasonable read about the business. So while a logo reveal can be just a logo animation for a few seconds, or a very short-sharp overview of the business, a promotional video is useful when you want to say a little bit more.
This video for The Post Lady tells a little story about her services, and replaces the equivalent text of a reasonably-lengthy home page and about page on the website, as well as answering a few FAQ’s about how they work and what they do, in an attractive and animated graphic video – which delivers the same information in about a minute!
With anything like this, the images and the elements really bring it to life – so we can also provide completely custom drawn assets like characters, graphics, or backgrounds / vehicles – to really tell the story and share the message!

Even when a video background or a complete infographic may not be required, any website can be brought to life a little with some fairly basic animation. This might be heading sections, small animations that are on a continuous loop, or areas that move when hovered or pressed to demonstrate a process.
Our very own website has some key services and messages which can be quite text-driven pages – so we have used animated elements to help give the users a much more visually appealing experience.
On the other example here, on a client website, we used separate animated sections that activated upon hovering, which were used to show a 4-stage process to a website feature for people. This helped show the process visually and without the need for lots of instructions! This same thought process can be applied across many pages, and we will help ensure page-speed isn’t suffering as a result.
