Case Study:

RCPA – Registered Care Providers Association

About the Client

Providing support to proprietors, managers and employees of  care provider organisations within Somerset

The Registered Care Providers Associations members include both profit and not-for-profit organisations providing home care, care homes, supported living and community support.

They provide advice, training, resources and support to our members in relation to a wide range of issues. They facilitate engagement with Somerset County Council and Commissioning Group, NHS Trusts and other stakeholders.

The RCPA support their members in collaboration, negotiation and lobbying in relation to the development and delivery of care and support. Acting as a voice for care providers, they aim to represent the views of all members, bringing their concerns and queries to the attention of service commissioners as well as government and regulatory bodies.

Brand Development

We worked with The Registered Care Providers Association to rethink their existing brand.

Their organisation provides guidance and support to a network of care providers across Somerset and Is viewed as a primary resource in the care industry.

They approached us with the task of creating a fresh new identity, with the main focus being to engage users with a brand that felt familiar and trustworthy from the first impression.

We started the process by carrying out some research & development to ensure we created a brand that could achieve this and also stand alone in it’s field.

Next we began exploring concepts based on our findings and worked closely with Laura and the team at RCPA, on various iterations, before arriving at the final design.

The process involves research and feedback sessions with the client at each stage, and a careful review of each step. This creative process is extremely exploratory, and we enjoy playing with various styles and concepts with the client before we decide on the best way forward.

There are many design factors and trends taken into consideration before the final design is reached.

RCPA-Branding

Website

The existing RCPA website was showing its age a little. The organisation felt that in-line with a new brand, a new website was a given – but also wanted to use this as an opportunity to ensure they were engaging with their members more moving forward.

The first step was to capture the message from the existing site, and look at the functions. While not too complex, the website had a member directory and search facility for users to find care providers in the area, as well as some generic pages of information on their DBS service and the people they support.

For the new site, the organisation planned to add more engagement by offering a Blog and interactive forum for discussion, and for local events in the care sector to be promoted. The member area login allows access to certain areas reserved for members, and they also promote their sponsors and supporters.

The member directory has an icon-driven selection tool, which visually enables users to find the type of organisation they are searching for and narrow down the results, which works really well too!

This was an exciting project with a full organisation re-brand and website, as well as supported printing and event materials. We continue to work with RCPA on website support and items throughout the calendar year.
