WHAT IS BLACK FRIDAY?
Black Friday initially started in the U.S.A. As Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November every year, the Friday after is seen as an unofficial holiday due to the fact that everyone is still off work.
Because so many people are off work, shops drastically lower their prices for one day to start of the Christmas season.
UK Shops soon caught on to this trend and by 2014 Black Friday was the best day to buy Christmas presents.
So… as the biggest shopping weekend of the year is fast approaching, we’re here to help your business make the most of Black Friday.
WHEN IS BLACK FRIDAY 2018?
This year, Black Friday will officially fall on the 23rd of November. However, like most years, Black Friday online sales start from early November and continue throughout.
Major retailers such as Amazon, John Lewis, Debenhams, Argos, and Currys, will promote their massive sales before the day arrives so that everyone knows what to expect.
But don’t worry! When Black Friday is over, the sales don’t stop. You can also look forward to Sofa Sunday (yes that’s a thing) and Cyber Monday. Everyone will be on the hunt for a bargain so it’s important to let your customers know what YOUR business has to offer.
HOW WILL YOU PROMOTE YOUR OFFERS
There are many ways you can promote your business offers to your customers online and offline. Some of these techniques include:

And much more…
So no matter what your business type is, make sure you take advantage of this opportunity to shout about your products or services and drive sales and awareness.
