What are marketing strategies? How can you use them to your advantage? How can you use them to advertise your business? Today we will expand your knowledge about marketing strategies and feed you the information about marketing strategies to help your business succeed further.  

Firstly, what is a marketing strategy? A marketing strategy is a business’s/organisation’s efforts to advertise their business. Marketing strategies help to increase sales, profits and revenue. Previously we have discussed mouth marketing, a marketing technique where your customers spread the word about your business for you, but let’s explore other marketing techniques: Social media marketing, freebie marketing, and inbound and outbound marketing are all examples of marketing strategies that can be used to strengthen and advertise your business.

A strong Digital Marketing Strategy also ensures that you are on top of your biggest marketing tool – your Website. This can, and should, involve a Keyword Strategy, Search Engine Optimisation plans, and possibly looking at paid adverts on Google, Facebook, or other social channels like TikTok. Pay Per Click adverts can also work well for businesses, and simple, low-cost marketing like e-Newsletters, as a great way of getting in front of your customers and prospects.

So, let’s talk about a few of these a little more.

Social media marketing is effective, easy and helpful. Make regular social media posts on social platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, where you promote your services or new launches. As your customers interact with your social media posts, your business will gain visibility, creating opportunities for new customers. Freebie marketing is an excellent strategy where a business offers a free product or service in order to attract new customers. This is a great way to introduce people to your business and can also build loyalty between you and your customers. Inbound marketing is an intelligent strategy where the business creates valuable content/comes up with a valuable product that aligns with your target market’s needs. By providing your customers with solutions to their problems you are building a business relationship with them. This is a fantastic marketing technique to use because you’re appealing to their needs.

Outbound marketing. Outbound marketing is when a business/company actively reaches out to potential clients/customers to get them interested in what they are selling. With Outbound marketing, the company initiates the conversation, instead of waiting for the customers to come to them. Outbound marketing is a good strategy, if you approach it in the right way. Make sure that you don’t sound too forceful, how would you feel if someone was saying that to you? 

By using a well-thought-out marketing strategy and by planning your digital strategy, you can advertise your services whilst simultaneously strengthening your business and increasing your public visibility.
